The Inno Connection

What not everyone knows is that the Warrior Dolomite is engineered and built by one of the most revered names in the stick business: Innovative Hockey. Inno has had a fanatical following for years - from the NHL all the way down to league play. The problem in the past has been that these blades were harder to find than hen\\\\\\\'s teeth. That\\\\\\\'s where Warrior comes in. They bought the company and have pumped millions into increasing capacity and into marketing the image of the company. The result is that the stick with the most buzz around it is also one of the best blades on the market - bar none!

Dolomite Details

The Dolomite is the best tapered blade on the market - bar none. This stems from Warrior/Inno\\\\\\\'s obsession with quality and consistency. Look at 12 Federov blades from Warrior - and they will be identical. Other companies are not NEARLY as consistent. Also check out how stiff and thin these blades are! Nobody matches up with this. Full composite materials contrast sharply with many competitors that take the shortcut of putting carbon material on the outside surface of the blade and then using and ABS plastic center with air pockets to keep the weight down. The resulting blade has several advantages: 1) This is the thinnest and lightest blade on the market giving an awesome feel and great ability to lift the puck and put it where you want it to go. 2) The Inno blade is among the most durable on the market. No - it is not indestructible - but it is noticeably tougher than most carbon blades. 3) Stiffness. The Inno is extremely stiff torsionally and won\\\\\\\'t rob you of accuracy or power the way that some carbon blades can.

On the Rink

The Dolomite blade just flat out has a great feel. The thinness of the blade just seems to transmit the feel of the puck much better than most carbon blades. We found that our test blade way outlasted most carbon blades that we have used. The shot quality is to die for. Shots just seem to ring true with this blade. Hard, fast and accurate are the only ways to describe how this blade shoots. For an excellent blade that\\\\\\\'s a little different than what the mainstream buys - go Warrior!

Curves

The Federov is one of Warrior\\\\\\\'s most popular curves and is comparable to an Easton Forsberg. The Federov is a nice mid curve that has a fairly low lie (4). If you find that you wear most of your blades out on the heel, this lower lie will put more of your blade on the ice. This is a perfect curve for snap shots and slapshots from close range. It has good stickhandling manners and is not an extreme curve. If you like a mid curve, but don\\\\\\\'t need the huge curve, this is a great choice.

The Weight is a .5 inch heel curve that is very open. It is very similar to an Easton Drury. The curve is twisted back at the toe to produce more of a wedge. This makes it great for stick handling and getting the puck up top quickly from in close to the net. It is also an excellent choice for deflections. The lie is 4.5 on the Weight curve.

The Draper is a slightly open mid curve. This all around blade has a little more curve than a Federov/Forsberg and is a little open at the toe. As with most mid curves, this blade works well for passing, stickhandling, wrist shots and slapshots from close and mid range. The lie is a 5 which is slightly lower than mid making it a player that skates in a more tilted position and tends to wear the heel of their blades.
