These pads have a nice lightweight feel. Easton has used one peice of molded plastic for the elbow and forearm guard. This wraps the arm resulting in a comfortable fit that does not have any segment breaks in protection. Easton has also given this pad a layer of foam around the elbow and forearm shell, to provide additional protection.

The Bicep guard features a thin peice of plastic reinforcement for added protection to the outside of the bicep. The rest of the bicep and tricep guard is a single density foam.

Easton has used a 3-peice elastic strap system to secure the pad in place. The ST4 also features a U-shape donut to help lock the pad into place during play. The way this pad is designed you can lock the bottom portion of the pad into place while keeping the bicep portion looser for increased mobility.
