Easton has used a nylon exterior with some aesthetic leather overlays. This gives the glove a nice look but still shows that Easton is focusing on performance with the lighter, more durable, and breathable exterior material. The embroidered Easton logo is a nice touch that will not rub off.
Easton has used a traditional palm of Beige Nash leather with Black Nash leather overlay for added durability. The stretch gussets are a nice feature that enhances finger movement allowing for a better feel of the stick. Easton uses dual density foams in the fingers and back-rolls providing additional protection. In addition, Easton has reinforced these key impact areas with plastic inserts to disperse impacts. The Ergo thumb helps keep the thumb in a natural position making it very comfortable as well as preventing the thumb from bending backwards.
Easton has also introduced their Flex Cuff™ which was designed to add protection while not compromising the wrist mobility. This is a good concept however, the actual flex portion is small, making the impact fairly minor. This does not have a negative impact on performance, rather it just doesn't add much to the performance or protections.
This glove has a nice feel. The padded liner runs all the way to the end of the fingers giving it a soft feel. Easton could have used the Bio-Dri™ liner on this glove however, that material is found on the S17 glove. The contoured design cuts some of negative space out of the backhand ensuring energy transfer.
