Jocks are important equipment
Hockey and ice hockey is a very active and sometimes violent sport where you can easily get injured. Due to the high physical activity, it is therefore very important to have good protective equipment, including a jock, for all players both during matches and training.
Being hit in the crotch by, for example, a stray hockey stick or a puck at very high speed can cause great damage. In addition to being incredibly painful, getting hit in the crotch can put you out of the game for the rest of the match or do major temporary or permanent damage. At worst, it can make you sterile. For this reason, one hardly needs to argue any more for the use of a jock - and this applies to both women and men, young and old, adults and children, beginners and seasoned players alike. Everyone should be secured by good equipment so that you can continue to play your favorite sport many years into the future.
Protective gear should always be part of your gear, no matter how often or how long you play. You never know when the accident will happen and no one can predict the future, so why risk an injury?
Jocks take most of the impact and prevent serious injury, but only protect the crotch. Therefore, you must remember to acquire good protective equipment for the rest of the body, such as elbow pads, gloves, shoulder pads, mouth guards, etc.

How to use a jock?
How you use your jock can vary according to model, fit and type, but they all have exactly the same function: to protect you from errant sticks or a fast and hard-hitting puck.
The classic jocks are relatively easy to get started with. It consists of an elastic band at the waist and two straps that go down the legs and make sure to keep the protector in place so that it does not move around during physical activity and movement. The protector itself sits in front and is available in different hardnesses that provide different levels of protection, as desired.
The step protector is put on by stepping down into each ring with each leg, where it is then pulled up like a pair of trousers. Make sure to adjust the elastic in the waist and the protector itself so that it fits comfortably.
